Thrive Academy Elementary

The elementary years are a critical time for learning and development. At Thrive Academy, we provide a nurturing, engaging environment where students with Autism Spectrum Disorder feel safe, supported, and valued. Our elementary program focuses on building strong academic foundations while helping children develop social skills, emotional regulation, and confidence. Through individualized instruction, consistent routines, and compassionate support, students are encouraged to grow, explore, and develop a love of learning at their own pace.

Core Curriculum

Our core curriculum is thoughtfully designed to meet the unique needs of students with autism. We provide individualized instruction that honors each learner’s strengths while integrating academic learning with structured behavioral support, sensory regulation, social communication development, and emotional resilience. This holistic approach ensures students feel safe, supported, and empowered to grow both academically and personally.

Language Arts

Language Arts at Thrive Academy nurtures communication, comprehension, and self-expression. Through individualized instruction, students develop reading, writing, and language skills using structured literacy strategies, guided practice, and creative activities. Lessons are designed to strengthen communication while building confidence, critical thinking, and a lifelong appreciation for storytelling and literacy.

Science

Science at Thrive Academy encourages curiosity and exploration. Through hands-on experiments, guided investigations, and sensory-friendly learning experiences, students explore the natural world while developing observation and problem-solving skills. Instruction emphasizes discovery, critical thinking, and understanding how science connects to everyday life.

Mathematics

Our mathematics program emphasizes understanding, problem-solving, and real-world application. Students learn through structured, step-by-step instruction that moves from hands-on models to more abstract concepts. By supporting different learning styles and pacing instruction individually, we help students build confidence while developing essential math skills for everyday life.

Social Studies

Social Studies helps students better understand themselves, their communities, and the wider world. Lessons focus on history, culture, geography, and civic awareness while encouraging students to think critically and appreciate diverse perspectives. Activities are designed to build social awareness, empathy, and a sense of belonging within the community.

Specials

Thrive Academy’s STEM program integrates science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through hands-on exploration and problem-solving activities. Students are encouraged to experiment, build, and think creatively while learning how technology and innovation shape the world around them. STEM experiences strengthen critical thinking, collaboration, and practical life skills.
